Our Story is Your Story

To call someone a cerebral thinker, is to say that they make decisions based on intelligence and careful thinking, rather than emotions.
You could say that cerebral thinking is exactly how this all started.
I grew up in a family of physicians… and then I married one.  When my husband and I got married, he was incredibly busy with med school.  With a background in accounting, I took on the family finances, and I got to experience first-hand the painful financial position physicians find themselves in.

The first three months of my husband’s paycheck were going straight to the IRS.

Those hours were lost.
Emotion fired me up to do something, but cerebral thinking enabled me to put my worries to the side and focus all my efforts on delving deep into the tax strategies that would allow us to keep more of our hard earned money.
I set up Cerebral to support medical professionals and business owners struggling with the same worries.
We’re not the financial people you’re used to hearing about.

We are the tax experts that really know you.

We know that it starts with saving more of your monthly income from the IRS.

But further down the line you'll be looking at financial investments, ventures in real estate, and the like.

We get where you're going, and we know what it takes to get you there.

Founder & Lead Tax Specialist

I love getting to know my clients and educating them on the ways to use the tax code to their advantage. The moment their face lights up with understanding and excitement about ways I can help is worth each and every minute I spend working. Also my clients are genuinely nice people, which makes them really enjoyable to work with.

When I’m not working or writing books, I love spending time with my horse, Bernie. Although I don’t get out to ride him much with four kids, a business, and a household to run- even getting to groom and love on him is therapeutic. And of course, I also love spending time with my family.

Senior Tax Manager

I’ve been in the accounting/tax field for a little over 18 years now.  I obtained my IRS Enrolled Agent certification in 2014 and my Masters in Accounting with a Taxation Concentration in 2017. I have recently trained and obtained my Certified Tax Coach designation as well.

I live in Fort Mill, SC and have a daughter who is going into her senior year at Syracuse University and a son who will be a senior in high school.  I have 2 dogs which I love—a 9-year-old hound mix we rescued and a year old Siberian Husky. They’re both very different which makes them lots of fun!

I enjoy working with clients and supporting their tax needs. I’m excited to work for a business I’m proud of and to surround myself with professionals who will push me to grow and perform to the best of my ability.

Executive Assistant

Everyday at Cerebral Tax Advisors I’m learning new things.  It’s a pleasure getting to know our clients. They’re all great people with interesting and different backgrounds.  I’m daily inspired to work harder to serve them well.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching baseball.

When we say we’re going to do something,
we do it, and we do it well. You have our word.
