How Our Representation Services Work
- 1. Initial Consulation
- 2. Gathering Information
- 3. Analysis & Preparation
- 4. Communication with the IRS
- 5. Resolution & Follow-up

Initial Consultation
The process usually begins with an initial consultation between you and a senior member of Team Cerebral.
During this consultation, we will discuss the details of your audit, including the type of audit (e.g., correspondence audit, office audit, field audit), the tax years under review, and any specific issues or concerns.

Gathering Information
Team Cerebral will review the notice, request a signature on a power of attorney, and send you an action plan to gather all the necessary information and documentation related to the audit.

Analysis & Preparation
Once the required information is gathered, Team Cerebral will analyze your tax situation, review the audit notice or letter, and assess the potential issues involved.
We will develop a strategy and plan for how to approach the audit, which may involve identifying areas of concern, determining applicable tax laws and regulations, and preparing a response to the IRS.

Communication with the IRS
Team Cerebral will serve as your primary point of contact with the IRS during the audit. We will handle all communication on your behalf, including written correspondence, phone calls, and meetings with the IRS auditor.
We will provide clear and accurate responses to any inquiries or requests for information, ensuring that your rights are protected and that your position is effectively presented.

Resolution & Follow-up
After the audit is completed, Team Cerebral will review the audit findings with you and discuss the proposed adjustments or changes, if any.
We will advise you on the best course of action, whether it involves accepting the findings, appealing the decision, negotiating a settlement, or exploring other options. We will guide you through the resolution process and provide ongoing support as needed.
Representation services are exclusively available to Tax Maintenance Package clients

Cerebral as been great, I can’t say enough good things about their service and attention to detail. Now having our first full tax year with Alexis and her team behind us, I can say without question that they’ve exceeded our expectations. I would recommend them to anyone.
Dr. Chris Fleener
I have very high standards and Cerebral has done an excellent job of meeting and/or surpassing. Excellent communication and availability. Further, they make a very complex process easy.
Randy Sulaver
Anyone who works with Alexis Gallati is in for a treat. This year I moved to another state and sold my house, so my tax return was more complicated than usual. Alexis was SO thorough and professional. I really appreciated her attention to detail and excellent communication. I couldn’t be happier with her work or my return.
